Rowing from Home to Home - Adventurer heads for New Zealand from Singapore - Expedition Update. 10,000km and 150 days of human powered travel from Singapore. A lifetime of experience in a single year.! Click here to visit Axe's Site In this epic journey, Kiwi adventurer Grant 'Axe' Rawlinson is making an attempt to travel all the way from Singapore (where Axe is based) back to his home country of New Zealand, by using solely his human power - a journey of some 12,000km. Whilst the attempt to finish the expedition with the most challenging stage of Rowing the Tasman sea did not succeed, it was still a victory for Axe to get the boat and himself back safely to shore after a 24 day/1,100nm journey, some of it upside down! So Axe lives to row another day! A second attempt to finish the expedition is being discussed by the team now - watch this space for more news in the New Year. Axe works for Kongsberg Maritime who, as a key customer of Valeport, are users of Valeport's Sound Velocity Products as part of their multi-beam echo sounder range. Axe will be keeping all their followers appraised of their progress via their website www.axeoneverest.com or via their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/GrantAxeRawlinson/
